Today on the auspicious day of New Moon day of Saka Dawa, we distributed rations to the poor, disable and homeless people during this covid 19 situation in Nepal. There was about 24 families and considering the safety guidelines, only few representatives came forward to collect the ration. The ration was calculated enough for the month atleast to all the families and we hope to continue to extend our help to people who are in need. 

Since it was auspicious day, we requested Simdha Getul Rinpoche himself to come forward to distribute the ration to these families hoping that along with the ration, they will be blessed too. 

It is a holy month when we celebrate the birth, enlightenment and death (parinirvana) of the Buddha Shakyamuni.

The merit of any good deeds that you perform during this month are thought to be multiplied many times over — by as many as one hundred million times. So Saka Dawa is an excellent time to dedicate yourself to taking spiritually positive actions. 

Therefore, we would like to dedicate all the merit of the virtous action to all our benefactors and to all mother sentient beings. 

སྦྱིན་པ་རྒྱ་ཆེན་གྱུར་པ་འདི་ཡི་མཐུས། །

jinpa gyachen gyurpa di yi tü

Through the power of this vast act of generosity

འགྲོ་བའི་དོན་དུ་རང་བྱུང་སངས་རྒྱས་ཤོག །

drowé döndu rangjung sangye shok

May we spontaneously attain buddhahood for the benefit of beings!

སྔོན་གྱི་རྒྱལ་བ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་མ་གྲོལ་བའི། །

ngön gyi gyalwa nam kyi madrolwé

All those who were not liberated by the buddhas of the past,

སྐྱེ་བོའི་ཚོགས་རྣམས་སྦྱིན་པས་གྲོལ་གྱུར་ཅིག །

kyewö tsok nam jinpé drol gyur chik

Through this act of generosity, may they be liberated!
