Today under the guidance of Simdha Getul Rinpoche, we Orgyen Pema Buddhist Society have done our second ration distribution to mainly to labour’s and few other families who have difficulties in their basic necessities. Thus, we prepared the ration distribution for about 45 families in the second round. 

Sometimes we simply throw away the leftovers on our plates because we couldn’t finish it anymore or because it is not suitable to our taste. But today we saw so many family who can even afford to have three separate meals. Therefore, it is our utmost request to all the dharma friends and family to be always mindful when we put food on our plates and also what we do with our leftovers.

Human life itself is truly precious but however, it is even more precious and rare to be born as human with the opportunity and advantage to practice Buddha dharma. And comparing to these less fortunate people, we must never forget how fortunate and blessed we are to be born as a human with both opportunity and advantage. So when our mind runs towards the dark side and started to feel lonely and depressed in this difficult time, kindly remind ourselves how fortunate and blessed we are.

And, We will continuously distribute the food ration to less fortunate people in the future as well.

སྦྱིན་པ་རྒྱ་ཆེན་གྱུར་པ་འདི་ཡི་མཐུས། །

jinpa gyachen gyurpa di yi tü

Through the power of this vast act of generosity

འགྲོ་བའི་དོན་དུ་རང་བྱུང་སངས་རྒྱས་ཤོག །

drowé döndu rangjung sangye shok

May we spontaneously attain buddhahood for the benefit of beings!

སྔོན་གྱི་རྒྱལ་བ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་མ་གྲོལ་བའི། །

ngön gyi gyalwa nam kyi madrolwé

All those who were not liberated by the buddhas of the past,

སྐྱེ་བོའི་ཚོགས་རྣམས་སྦྱིན་པས་གྲོལ་གྱུར་ཅིག །

kyewö tsok nam jinpé drol gyur chik

Through this act of generosity, may they be liberated!
